Antonio Conte

After an away game that saw him play without Samir Handanovic, Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic for the most part, Antonio Conte can be happy with a solid result. The win was secured thanks to a good performance and a brace by Romelu Lukaku.

This is what Conte had to say when asked about him: ” Romelu has important qualities, this has not been his best game thus far without considering he has scored two goals. He has integrated himself well in the team and I can only speak good things about him. I insisted to get him this summer.”

On Handanovic he had this to say: “He has had a problem and I have asked the medical team to have him for the derby. I am still happy with Padelli’s performance.”

“The subs have been important. They are very important in a team like Inter. Alexis Sanchez is trying to gain optimal form after his ankle injury. Matias Vecino has been doing well, and I never tried to sell him on the transfer market. These were just rumors of the last days… including attackers to Inter that could have never come. I think Vecino is a good player and he has always played with me.”

Conte’s Post-Match interview came after a solid 2-0 win away against Udinese. Lukaku scored a brace thanks also to a penalty conquered by Sanchez.
