Inter was handed their first draw of this Serie A season. Antonio Conte’s men finished the game with 2-2 score line at the San Siro, with Candreva and Lukaku both getting on the score sheet. Conte said this in his post-match interview:
“In the first half, we didn’t do well. We could have done more. We conceded 2 goals on our lapses. We did well in all the aspects of the game in the second half. We deserved to win the game.”
Inter’s coach also defended his players by claiming:
“There isn’t much I can tell these men because its their third game in six days. There are four more close matches waiting for us and they will not be easy.”
“de Vrij and Asamoah had problems and I did not want to risk them. It is difficult to play a match every three days.”
Coach defended his decision by explaining why de Vrij did not start the game against Parma.
