In the press conference after the game, Conte has talked about his bitterness towards some of the points lost. He then talked about Lukaku, and then addressed the idea of Messi coming to Inter.
“I am bitter mostly for the points we lost against Sassuolo and Bologna. Not as much for other occasions. Against Verona and Fiorentina instead, we gave our all. Sometimes you get the results you deserve, sometimes you don’t.”
“Lukaku is an atypical player. Despite being 1.90 meters he is fast. He can help from midfield up, and he moves into the space like a player of American football. He can still improve his first touch and his aggressiveness in front of the goal. He’s only 27.”
“I think the director (Marotta) has already answered this question. At the moment this is a fantasy league signing. There are several reasons why such a signing is impossible. First, we need to create a solid base, and then, maybe, we could talk about Messi. But I do like that somehow these voices seem to persist year after year.
