Inter took care of business against Genoa in the last Serie A fixture. After a frustrating first goal-less first half, Lukaku and D’Ambrosio found the net to ensure victory for Inter.

Lautaro was visibly angry after replaced by Andrea Pinamonti. He was furious and punched his seat in the dugout.

Conte explained his striker’s reactions and said:

“Lautaro is a very good guy and everything is fine with him. Even today he put in a lot of effort and gave his contribution. A striker lives to score goals, it is normal for him to have these emotions.”

“I don’t think he was mad at me because we have a good relationship.”

“The players leave the ground without any problems after the game and forget what happened. What happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch.”

“We now have to recover our energies and prepare for the Champions League because this will be a road with many difficulties.”

Inter will return to action against Shakhtar for the CL fixture.
