Following the recent transfer rumors linking Lautaro Martinez to a possible move to Barcelona, Inter were reportedly chasing Timo Werner.
However, Inter’s Sporting Director, Piero Ausilio denied and excluded any possible move for the German striker.
Ausilio declared to Sky Sports:
“Timo Werner will not come to Inter. I know he has an idea about his future and we will not sign him. I love him as a player but we’ve never started talks to sign Werner”.
This marks the end of the rumors linking Inter to RB Leipzig’s star striker who was previously linked to a move to Liverpool.
However, talks the current UCL title holders had reportedly broken; which made people think Inter was going to take an initiative.
