Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is receiving medical treatment at the hospital after testing positive for the coronavirus.

The 34-year-old will miss Thursday’s 2022 World Cup qualifier clash between Chile and Argentina.

“The medical staff of the Chilean national team is working closely with the hospital staff to ensure proper treatment is given to Arturo Vidal.” the national team said on its official website.

So far no other team members have tested positive.

Chile is averaging above 6,000 daily cases and the health system is overwhelmed.
