Christian Eriksen will not be allowed to play for Inter this season due to his cardiac arrest at the Euro 2020.
The Danish midfielder suffered a major cardiac arrest during Denmark’s opening game at the Euros. The medical staff later had a cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) device implanted, a type of pacemaker which can prevent fatal cardiac arrests by discharging a jolt to restore a regular heart rhythm.
At this time it is unclear what the future will hold for Eriksen. Inter are willing to let the player go to play in a country where it is permissible to play with ICD.
Earlier, it was reported that Eriksen could take a back-office role at Ajax or the national team. His future seems uncertain for now.
