With the recent appointment of Inter’s newest manager Simone Inzaghi, we will see the very best of Christian Eriksen in season 2021/22.
The main reason for this is the style of play which Inzaghi loves for his team. An open 3-5-2 formation awaits Inter, where especially the number 10 has complete freedom.
Under Conte’s management, Inter also used a 3-5-2 formation. Although, it was majorly based on counter attacking football and playing through the wings.
With Inzaghi at the helm, we should see more attacking opportunities as the midfield should be able to be won. Inter will be able to control play and splice through teams a lot easier. This will then allow Eriksen to play more ball to Lukaku and Lautaro, providing them with more fantastic chances on goal.
As we know, this is where Eriksen is suited to playing thinking back to the Tottenham days. In the early stages of Eriksen’s Inter career, Conte threw him in occasionally at the trequartista role.
However, Conte eventually tried to turn Eriksen into a deep playmaker which was a bit hit and miss. We finally saw the best of Eriksen near the end of the season as he played higher up the pitch.
The incoming change will be a good thing for Inter. Especially if we can bring back the world class form of Christian Eriksen.
As always, Forza Inter!
