Inter made another comeback victory against Cagliari on Sunday. Inter played well in patches throughout the match and finally secured a 3-1 result in their favor.

Conte spoke to the media after the match and said:

We went a goal down in spite of great first-half performance and numerous chances created. It wasn’t easy to remain calm in that situation. The men showed they wanted to win at all costs.”

There have been questions surrounding Conte’s lack of Plan B options to which he said:

“Every coach has a plan B and puts that into practice as and when it is needed. Sometimes it’s inevitable that you will need to make changes during a game at some point. For that reason, it’s essential to have all of your players available to you because the situation is often complicated when you have a few absences.”

Conte praised Nicolo Barella’s performance and said:

Nicolò is a young player with a lot of talent. He needs to be a bit more disciplined and composed. He has an abundance of energy that he tends to be a bit over-exuberant. He’s developing very quickly and can become one of the best players.”

While Conte did talk about Barella’s individual performance, he declined to comment when asked about Christian Eriksen’s performance. He simply said:

“I don’t like to focus too much on individuals”
