Inter recorded a massive win over a relegated-threatened SPAL side during matchday 33. With 4 different players getting on the scoresheet, Inter is looking far more unpredictable and threatening going forward.
Coach Antonio Conte was ecstatic on the sidelines. He got to see his side finally getting some rhythm and momentum for the upcoming fixtures.
“These are matches might seem easy on paper, but you can’t take anything for granted in Serie A. It was important for us to send a signal of consistency and conviction.”
On the tactical adjustments made over the break, Conte said: “We’ve adjusted the positions of our players in midfield and attack since the lockdown. We try to be more unpredictable going forward. We’re the only team that has had 18 different goalscorers, and this demonstrates our desire to occupy the opposition box in large numbers.”
He praised Alexis Sanchez for his incredible form and desire, “We really wanted to sign Alexis. We had the opportunity to bring him in on loan. It’s a shame that he got injured and wasn’t available for much of the season. He’s now starting to feel good and is an extra weapon for us. He found his form again and has the enthusiasm and desire to play. I’m happy for him because he’s undergone a great deal of suffering and now he’s full of hunger.”
Inter will travel to the Capital city next to take on Roma.
