Lautaro Martinez has been heavily linked with Barcelona this summer, but his agent ensures the Argentinian will “soon sign a new Inter contract”.
The 22-year-old has three goals in nine games for Inter this season, one coming against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Martinez’s agent, Beto Yaque, spoke with Calciomercato and insisted that the Argentine will renew with Inter soon:
“I believe Antonio Conte’s arrival has improved Lautaro on a physical and tactical level. He has improved in so many ways, but above all his fitness levels and power. Martinez always had a lot of self-confidence, playing very well against Barcelona and Juventus”.
“Lautaro is still young and probably needs to learn how to measure out his enthusiasm and energy through the 90 minutes. He is very intelligent and knows how hard he still has to work”.
There are multiple reports from Spain and Italy that claim Barcelona are targeting Lautaro Martinez for the next summer. After purchasing Griezmann for 120M Euros, Barcelona seek to strengthen their attacking department even further next season. However, the 22-year-old’s agent has reassured that he will remain with the Nerazzurri:
“Lautaro is very happy at Inter and will soon sign a new contract with the club. He is not thinking about anything else. It’s positive if there are several big clubs chasing Lautaro, as it means he is working well. But, I repeat that as of today he is purely tied to the Nerazzurri and very happy here”.
