Before the summer transfer window, Marotta announced that Mauro Icardi is no longer part of Inter’s plans. However, the Argentine rejected various offers that Inter received as he wanted to convince Conte even though he was told multiple times that he will not play for Inter again.
This summer was filled with drama and rumours that he will join Napoli or Juventus and when the transfer window was edging closer to the end, many believed that he will stay with Inter, especially after suing Inter.
To probably everyone’s surprise, news broke out yesterday that PSG were looking to acquire Mauro Icardi on loan with an option to buy. Although many were skeptical if he will ever play outside of Italy, he has indeed left Inter and at least until June, he will play in Paris for PSG.
A few minutes ago, PSG announced that they have acquired Mauro Icardi on loan with an option to buy for €70M. Simultaneously, Icardi have reached an agreement with Inter to extend his contract until 30 June 2022.
