During an interview with Sky Sport, Inter’s Alessandro Antonello spoke about the future of both Inter and AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
“We are working on this project together with Milan and we believe that the stadium can be one of the fundamental assets for the growth of both clubs.”
“Inter and Milan have been working on the San Siro project for several months now, we still have work to do but the time is right, we will soon tell the Municipality of Milan what the two clubs have decided, the city of Milan needs a stadium at the height of the main European cities,”.
Two solutions are being offered to the Milan clubs, either build a new stadium next to the current one or renovate and improve the Giuseppe Meazza. The Rossoneri are said to prefer building a new stadium as it would allow both teams to use the current pitch by the time the new one’s constructions are completed.
