FIGC has ordered Inter to play two domestic games behind closed doors for the fans’ racial abuse towards Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
The FIGC ruled that Inter’s Curva Nord will face an extra punishment. The Curva will sit out for an extra match, on the grounds of ‘offensive chants’ towards Napoli fans and Koulibaly.
Inter fans will not be able to attend the Nerazzurri’s next two home games against Benevento and Sassuolo, while the Curva Nord will not be open for the visit of Bologna on February 3.
However, Koulibaly will still sit out Napoli’s next two domestic matches, one for accumulating five yellow cards and the second for ‘sarcastic applause’ towards referee Paolo Mazzoleni on Wednesday.
Lorenzo Insigne has also been given the same punishment plus a €10,000 fine for ‘insulting the referee as a captain’.
